Women’s Bible Studies

Esther: Daring Faith for Such a Time as This
Led by Pastor Sarah
Wednesday Afternoons (12:30 pm to 2:00 pm) Jan 8 to Feb 19
Childcare is available
In this 7-session study, Kelly Minter invites you into the daring faith modeled by Esther and her cousin Mordecai—a faith developed over time, rooted in the goodness of God, lived out through extraordinary circumstances, and used to change the world. Although our time looks different from Esther’s, our God is just as active and faithful today, and He has called you for such a time as this.

Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story
Led by Heather Kern and Rachel Tate
Wednesday Evenings (7:00pm to 8:30pm) Jan 8 to Feb 19
In 7 sessions, Seamless by Angie Smith covers the people, places, and promises of the Bible, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. Whether you’ve grown up hearing Bible stories or you’re exploring Scripture for the first time, the full story of the Bible can be overwhelming. Experience the Bible as a whole as you gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture. Discover a biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments.

NEW Small Group Outreach

New Hope strives to bring all the children up in the church to know Jesus, love Jesus and to know how much they are loved by Jesus.  We put a lot of time and effort into VBS, Sunday School, Kids WOW, youth group, mission trips…… Our small group felt a need to continue this connection even after the kids went to college.  College is a huge transition, and we thought it was important to still feel that connection and love from the church they have grown up knowing. The College Connection Outreach is a way for New Hope to continue that love, support and mentorship as the college age kids go off on their own.

Starting this Fall we would love each student to have a mentor for the years they are attending college.  Preferably someone they already know from the church and have a connection with.  Our goal is for the college kids to still feel connected to New Hope and for this to be simple for the mentors.

Parents of college age kids – please click the button below to provide us with your kid’s name, school address, cell number and suggest name(s) of potential mentors.  We will do our best to accommodate but cannot make any guarantees.  We would be happy to pair your child with someone if your child does not have a specific person in mind.

Congregation – we would first love for you to pray for this outreach and second be open to being a mentor if asked or if you would like to volunteer please email karahartranft@yahoo.com.  We have made it very easy to be a mentor! We have made a plan for each month during the school year. There is no cost to the mentor – just a few extra minutes of your time a couple months and some extra love for these kids.  The church will provide gift cards and will mail all letters.

Outreach led by the Hartranft, Kern, Yegerlehner, Overberg and Vander Stoep small group.
